Coiled filter cartridge for 5 "water filter. The cartridge is made of polypropylene threads guaranteeing surface filtration.
Coiled filter cartridges are used in pre-filtration or medium filtration. They are made by winding a thread in food-grade synthetic material: polypropylene. The filtration at 25 microns is achieved thanks to this crossed winding of the thread over several millimeters in thickness.
They therefore retain the impurities greater than a size of 5 microns in suspension in your drinking water: sand, rust, pollen, dust, sediment ... These cartridges have better filtration performance than the smooth cartridge because the filtration is carried out more in depth. Advantages of the 5 micron coiled cartridge: - Often used in pre-filtration to retain all 25 micron size impurities.
